I wish I was a giant
with legs merrily strong, and big
enough to stop thunderstorms.
And that my giant hair
spread across the forest like a fog.
I wish I was a giant
loud as the mountains and rain.
(wet and plain)
Apple trees would grow out of
my toes and armpits,
maybe I would smell like beehives.
And if I danced the earth would
squeal and rivers spill.
I wish I was a giant
speaking in magic tongues.
(wild and pantomimed)
I wish I was a giant
with limbs and trunk, wings
and mellow flashlights.
A treasure chest for a heart giant.
I wish I was a giant
visible to you, like
the sun.
